The Courthouse Girls of Farmland (IN) is the First Friday Film at the Box Factory for the Arts
Seven Daring Seniors Take Off Their Clothes And Take Up A Fight in Courthouse Girls of Farmland Documentary
Opening Date: March 5, 2010
Operating Hours: 7:30pm
Event Description: The documentary highlights events that began in 2005 over a fundraising calendar created to draw attention to the endangered historic courthouse.

The models were two of the producers then 86-year-old mother and her bridge club friends most of whom were life-long residents of the region all posed supposedly naked behind replicas of the courthouse. The
result: national media attention and cries ranging from geriatric soft-core porn to brilliant.

Directed by Norman Klein, the documentary combines an up close and personal look at residents of the small farming community with humorous video montages as Klein struggles to put opposing views on camera. "I got interested in this project when I heard the word naked, says Klein with a laugh." But seriously, these women possess a love for life and courage that's inspiring. Add a gay couple, one of whom is Jewish, who
became leaders in reviving this small Christian town and saving the courthouse, and you have a compelling story.
