The play coincides with the arrival of the Vietnam Memorial Wall replica in southwestern Michigan on June 16, where it will be displayed throughout the event An American Veterans Tribute, by Lest We Forget June 17-20. Touch the Names will be presented by The Box Factory Theatre Company at The Box Factory for the Arts in St. Joseph, MI. This is the premiere of the play in Michigan. A portion of the proceeds will go to Lest We Forget. |

All motorcyclists are invited to participate in a unique opportunity to escort the Vietnam Wall replica on Wednesday, June 16, 2010. It is the largest of the three traveling replicas at 80 percent size of the original in Washington, D.C. The Wall will be a major attraction at the upcoming event "An American Veterans Tribute" organized by local veterans' group, Lest We Forget, from June 17-20. To be a part of this honor tour through southwest Michigan, registration is required by June 9. The ride precedes the arrival and installation of the traveling Vietnam Wall at its destination in St. Joseph. Tribute Ride festivities commence at 7:30 a.m. with your arrival at the Four Winds Casino Resort in New Buffalo, Michigan. From 7:00-8:00 a.m., breakfast will be provided by Four Winds Casino Resort. Between 8:00-8:30 a.m., there will be a Native American Honor Ceremony Drum by Ribbon Song. Departure from the casino is set for 8:30 a.m. This ride will be police-escorted and the 100-mile route will have two stops: Coloma and Niles. |

Tradition comes in many forms. Often it includes family and friends gathering together to celebrate holidays and those special occasions that represent the best of life. This time of year Lemon Creek Winery celebrates such a tradition, a Father's Day tradition. The Lemon family is proud to invite you to join them in celebrating the 26th Annual Father's Day Festival & Corvette Car Show, Sunday, June 20, from 12:00pm to 6:00pm. Father's Day feels more like a dad's day with a classic car or two. From noon to 5:00pm, the Corvette Coventry of South West Michigan will be over running the grounds with over 70 of their classic Corvettes. Vote on your favorite cars to determine the people's choice awards for 2010. Live music and dancing will be on site to keep the party going. Children's games are scheduled throughout the day with activities for all ages. Corn hole will be available for the older set, with prizes and organized games for the younger kids. Hayrides will also run all day long. Tasting tickets will be complimentary with your admission charge and will allow you five tastings. Food will be available to purchase provided by Outdoor Kitchen. Including festival favorites designed to compliment any glass of Lemon Creek wine. Lemon Creek Winery's Father's Day Festival is a public event. Admission is paid at the door and includes a souvenir wine glass and wine tasting ticket. Admission cost is $7.00 a person 21+ years and free admission to those under 21. |

This special week will be jam-packed with all sorts of fun that includes concerts, family entertainment and special events. For a complete schedule of events see below. Founders' Week Schedule of Events June 21: Watch the beautiful weathervane go up on the Silver Beach Carousel roof. Installation is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Carousel from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Visitors who donate $1 to the Benton Harbor Soup Kitchen will receive two tokens. Limit one promotion per guest. Doughnuts and beverages will be served. Carousel rides are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 22: Kiddies Day. Families can participate in games, take photos with Splash the Silver Beach Center mascot, listen to balloon storytelling by Michigan's most famous professional stilt walker, eat hot dogs and enjoy special deals throughout the day. Storytelling times are 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Carousel rides are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 23: PS Dump Your Boyfriend Live Music Concert. The evening's live rock music and crazy fun starts at 6:30 p.m. A concert ticket is $10. Snacks and cash bar will be available. Carousel rides are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 24: See the Sand Pirate sculpt an amazing sand masterpiece throughout the day. Located under the shade of a tent, this artist will begin her work at noon. Stop by, see her creation and ask questions about her work. Carousel rides are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. June 25: Get the Hottest Ticket in Town! Five Emprees return to Silver Beach for a live show and dance. Bounce beach balls in the interactive Whirlpool Compass Fountain. The Tri-City Heritage Tour is designed to create access, awareness and excitement about our heritage. The tour provides residents and visitors with a unique opportunity to explore and enjoy sometimes hidden and always interesting places and spaces in our cities and townships � all free of charge! More than 20 historic properties in Hagar, Coloma, Watervliet, Bainbridge and Hartford will be open to the public and interpreted by volunteers throughout the weekend. Sites will be open on Saturday, June 26 from 10am to 4pm and Sunday, June 27 varying by location. The official tour map and site information will be published as a four page insert in the Tri-City Record on June 17. Additional information, maps, and a full list of participating sites are also available online at www.tricityheritagetour.wordpress.com. Guides will also be available at tour sites including the North Berrien Historical Museum the week before the tour. The tour is self-directed and participants may visit as many or as few sites as they wish. Bring a friend and spend the day in the area visiting not only heritage sites, but also local shops and restaurants � many of which have long histories in the community. A number of sites will have family activities set up for children to participate in. Tour highlights include the Davidson Chapel in Coloma, the region�s first funeral home; the Tri-City Record office in Watervliet, which has published the local newspaper for 128 years; the Van Buren County Historical Museum in Hartford; the Southwestern Michigan Crate, Basket & Veneer Machinery Museum in Riverside; and Bainbridge Township Hal,l housed in the former Bainbridge Center School building � complete with school bell. The event is sponsored in part by a grant from the Berrien Community Foundation and is coordinated by the North Berrien Historical Society and the Van Buren County Historical Society. |

In 1858, it was a gentleman's recreational activity usually on Sunday afternoon after Church, played for exercise and comraderie. Today it is both athletic and historic in sinc with 1858 rules and gentlemanly etiqette. |
