"The Christmas Tree Ship"

Event Description: A ship loaded with freshly cut spruce trees, its deck covered with festive holiday decorations. The captain jovially welcomes children and their families aboard to select that perfect tree for Christmas morning. It's all part of the legend of the Christmas tree ship sailing from the Michigan shore to Chicago and the storm that sank the Rouse Simmons in 1912.
The documentary was produced by The Weather Channel where it originally aired.

Place a bid on wonderful Silent Auction items for yourself or as gifts, and let your dog snuggle up to our own Santa Paws for your pet's holiday photo - in time for Christmas mailings and special portraits.

The Parade ends at our back door (the Silver Beach Hotel), so warm up with a selection from our coffee & hot chocolate bar. The Silent Auction and 50/50 Raffle (for up to $1000) close after the Reindog Parade.
