| Event Description: | Playing the rules of 1858, the Chicago Salmon and House of David will exhibit a very spirited match of base ball as it was originally intended for exercise and comraderie by gentleman after church on Sunday afternoon. Recognizeably base ball, with numerous exceptions to rules that have changed or become obsolete as the sport becomes a profession and money becomes its governor by the 1870s. Today's players play both athletically and historically the spirit and etiquette of the day which keeps the "cranks" (fans) at attention to watch the origins of our national past time. |

Guest artist Ian Maksin, cello; works on the program: Mussorgsky Sherzo in Bb, Khachaturian Cello Concerto, Rachmaninoff Symphony #2. Russian born cellist Ian Maksin has toured the world as a guest cellist and soloist, and has performed at some of the most prestigious classical music festivals including Ravinia, Spoleto, and the White Nights Music Festival in his native St. Petersburg, Russia. His performance career encompasses many genres apart from classical music, and has included collaborations with Andrea Bocelli, P.Diddy, Snoop Dogg, Gloria Estefan and many others. Justly considered the apogee of the Russian romantic symphonic tradition, Rachmaninoff's 2nd Symphony will bring opening night to a stirring and magnificent conclusion. |

| Event Description: |
The Apple Cider Century is a recreational and social bicycle ride, it is not a race. Hosted by the Three Oaks Spokes Bicycle Club, the event offers routes of 15, 25, 37, 50, 62, 75 and 100 miles. Registration is limited to the first 5,000 registered riders, ages 12 and under ride free. We provide rest stops with high-energy refreshments, First Aid, bicycle repair and HAM radio communication. Support vehicles travel the routes providing assistance to riders needing bicycle repair or medical attention. As part of the entry fee, all riders may participate in a Saturday evening Ice Cream Social and Live Entertainment. On the day of the ride the returning participants feast on an All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner with salad bar and fresh apple pie. |

Using our collectible 1934 vegetarian cookbook, we serve a meal in conjunction with the summer season museum and tours. The tables, chairs and table service is all authentic 1930s-40s and 50s. Produce used for the menu pre-selected and prepared is all local produce from local markets. Reservations are required with pre-payment. Seating is limited to 50. We re-create a setting of 1934 at the colony resort restaurant. The tour is extra, but museum visitation is included in pricing. |

I-94 East From Chicago: Take 94 east towards Detroit, to Exit #27 (Niles Avenue), turn left onto Niles Avenue. Continue North down Niles Ave to the traffic light at the intersection of Niles and Main St. Turn right onto Main St. Turn left at the traffic light at the intersection of Main St. & Broad St. Go two blocks, then turn left onto Lake Blvd. We will be on your left overlooking Silver Beach & Lake Michigan. I-94 West from Kalamazoo or Detroit: Take 94 west towards Chicago to Exit #33 (Downtown St. Joseph/Benton Harbor). Continue through downtown Benton Harbor, that will take you directly to downtown St. Joseph (Main Street). Once you have gone over a bridge and past the Courthouse, you will turn left onto Main Street at the first light. Then right onto Broad Street (at the traffic light at the intersection off Main St. & Broad St.) and left onto Lake Blvd. I-96 West from Grand Rapids or Holland: Take I-96 to I-94. Take Exit #33 (Downtown St. Joseph/Benton Harbor). Continue through downtown Benton Harbor, that will take you directly to downtown St. Joseph (Main Street). Once you have gone over the St. Joseph River bridge and past the Courthouse, you will turn left onto Main Street at that first light. Then right onto Broad Street (at the light) and left onto Lake Blvd. We are on the left, overlooking Silver Beach & Lake Michigan. 31 By-Pass from South Bend, IN: Take the 31 By-Pass North into Michigan.
