Description

AT THIS TIME THIS IS ONLY AVAILABLE TO PRE-ARRANGED SCHOOL GROUPS. See the Power of Nature - FREE! Two seemingly different worlds come together at Cook Center - technology and nature. Atoms splitting to release immense energy. We harness that energy at the Cook Nuclear Plant to generate and transmit 2.1 million kilowatts of electricity to thousands of consumers. Yet, outside this technological powerhouse is the simpler, yet equally powerful, world of nature. Acorns fall to the forest floor and grow to mighty oaks. Grains of sand form towering dunes. And droplets of water fill vast Lake Michigan. Cook Energy Center brings these two powerful worlds together in an entertaining combination of tours and trails. Available only to pre-arranged school groups.
