Jean Klock Park

Rocky Gap County Park

Swimming, picnicking and scenic view, three acres along 1100 feet of shoreline. No restrooms or lifeguard on duty.

From St Joseph, take M-63 north approx 2 miles. Turn left, follow Rock Gap Rd to Park .5 miles.

Berrien Springs Dam and Fish Ladder

One of the favorite fishing sites along the St. Joseph River. Recent major modifications to the dam include a fish ladder that allows salmon and steelhead to migrate upstream in the fall; return to Lake Michigan in the spring.

Scott Lake Boating Access Site

Public access southwest of Bloomingdale. Gravel-surfaced ramp, 7 parking spaces, 76 acre lake.

Directions:

From Bloomingdale, take CR-665 South 3.5 miles. Turn right (West) on 24th St, follow 2.3 miles to access site entrance.

Weko Beach features a modern beach house with concessions stand, camping, changing areas, restrooms, a cold outdoor shower, a boat launch directly into Lake Michigan and volleyball nets. There is also a beautiful boardwalk, two dune overlooks and the playing of 'Taps' at dusk on summer evenings. Leashed pets allowed only in campground. We take reservations on cabins only, entrance fee required.

Located off Exit 16 of I-94, then north on Red Arrow Highway and west on Lake Street in Bridgman.

Clear Lake Boating Access Site (DNR)

Public access west of Bloomingdale at Lake Eleven.  Gravel-surfaced ramp, 10 parking spaces, 69 acre lake.

Directions:

From Gobles, take M-40 North 3.3 miles. Turn right, follow CR-390 East for 1.75 miles. Turn left, follow CR-653 North 6/10 mile. Turn right, follow CR-653 East 1/2 mile. Continue and bear right as road becomes 2nd Ave, follow 2/10 mile to launch site.

Fish Lake Boating Access Site (DNR)

Public lake access southeast of Bloomingdale at Fish Lake. Gravel surfaced ramp, 9 parking spaces, 34 acre lake.

Directions:

From Gobles, take CR 388 east 3.8 miles, turn right, follow CR 653 2.5 miles to launch.

Wolf Lake Boating Access Site (DNR)

Public access southeast of Bloomingdale at Wolf Lake. Hard-surfaced ramp, 6 parking spaces, 25 acre lake.

Directions:

From Gobles, take M-40 South 4 miles.  Turn left, follow M-43 East 4.6 miles to launch site entrance.

Lion's Park Beach

Located off Exit 27 of I-94 below the bluff in downtown St. Joseph, south on Lions Park Drive. Sheltered pavilions, parking and sidewalks. (No lifeguard on duty). Playground, picnic areas, restrooms and a superb view of St. Joseph's piers and lighthouse.

 

Riverview Park

A 107 acre park located in a bend of the St. Joseph River. The park has baseball fields, playground equipment, picnic shelters, and nature trails. Several of the shelters are available for rental, call 269.983.6325 for more information. Reduced rental rates for city residents.

Silver Beach

Located off Exit 27 of I-94 below the bluff in downtown St. Joseph. It has a 600-space parking lot off Broad Street, men's and women's bathhouses, park office and visitors' center, pavilion, south pier, bike racks, playground equipment, volleyball nets and a 1,600-foot beach for swimmers (lifeguard on duty during the summer). Parking fee.

Tiscornia Park

Located just north of the St Joseph River Channel off Upton and Marina drives in St Joseph. It features a public beach and access to the North Pier and lighthouse for a stroll or fishing. Restrooms, parking fee. No lifeguard on duty.
