Beaches

We can’t help but boast about our signature public beaches and waterways. So when Parents magazine named Silver Beach one of the top 10 family beaches in the U.S., our only surprise was that the editors could narrow their choice to one beach along Lake Michigan’s dune-lined shores!  The beaches here are beautiful. Whether you enjoy swimming, scuba diving, fishing, sailing, kite flying, volleyball or just sleeping in the sun, our sands and waters are perfect places to relax and unwind. Just be sure to stay long enough to see our breathtaking sunsets.

Of course the good times don’t end at Lake Michigan! Five rivers and more than 250 inland lakes offer their own hours of fun swimming, boating, water tubing, aqua biking, fishing (even in winter), skiing or just floating on an air mattress.
