Each season the Mendel Center Mainstage located on the campus of Lake Michigan College offers a star packed season filled with spectacular entertainment. Located minutes off of I-94, the Mainstage has thrilled and entertained the residence of southwestern Michigan for 17 seasons. Over the years the list of stars that have performed at the Mendel Center Mainstage include Anne Murray, Vicki Lawrence, Lewis Black, Paula Poundstone, Jerry Lewis, Willie Nelson, Kenny Loggins, Weird Al Yankovic, America, Movin' Out, Hairspray, Cats and many more. Performances have also included international touring companies such as the Russian National Ballet and the Vienna Boys Choir. Families have enjoyed the many family friendly shows such as A Christmas Carol and The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley. The real star however is the Mendel Center Mainstage, with only 1,517 seats, the Mainstage provides intimacy between performer and patron. Customers sit comfortably with plenty of leg room and unobstructed viewing. The stage, with an adjustable acoustic orchestra shell, can accommodate everything from a 100-piece orchestra to the biggest opera assemblage or a spotlight on a soloist.
