Wineries

They call our region the Napa Valley of the Midwest. Within a short drive you can visit more than a dozen wineries, many offering tours of their cellars and vineyards and free wine tastings. Our temperate climate allows us to grow European grape varieties that our wine masters use to make world-class wines. Many of our wineries offer cooking classes, festivals and music gatherings that uncork hours of fun for you and your friends. Ask about our special packages and regional wine trail.

Contessa Wine Cellars

Tony and Liz Peterson are proud owners of Contessa Wine Cellars. A small boutique winery located in the heart of Coloma Country. We offer complimentary tastings from our list of wines, consisting of a variety of whites, reds and fruit wines. Our goal in life is to satisfy everyone! We are conveniently located at Exit 39 on I-94, turn left and go 1/4 mile south. Enjoy a glass of wine on our newly expanded deck, overlooking our beautiful view. We even have a new outside tasting bar (weather permitting)!

Domaine Berrien Cellars

Established in 2001, our winery is nestled among the grapevines on our family's 80-acre farm. All of our wines are made from grapes grown and hand-picked in our vineyards. Our estate bottled, handcrafted wines are available for tasting and sales daily May-December noon to 5pm; January-April noon to 5pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday . Enjoy a picnic on our beautiful deck!

Free Run Cellars

Free Run Cellars is a new venture of Round Barn Winery winemaker, Matthew Moersch, and brother Christian. Free run - juice that flows from crushed grapes without pressing. It is superior to pressed juice as their are no seeds or stems. Continuing the Moersch tradition. Evolving Michigan wine.

Free Run Cellars Vineyards & Tasting Room

Free Run is the new venture of Round Barn winemaker Matthew Moersch, and brother Christian. Honoring their birthright and looking to the future, winemakers Matt and brother Christian are continuing the family wine legacy at Free Run Cellars. Implementing new winemaking and vineyard techniques, focusing on single vineyard production and producing new and different flavors are the focus of Free Run.

Hickory Creek Winery LLC

Creating world-class wines from grapes grown exclusively on Lake Michigan's eastern shore, Hickory Creek's team of owners, Michael de Schaaf, David Leslie and Gottfried Hart, bring to bear the distinct perspectives of lifelong passion for their craft. Hickory Creek utilizes only the highest quality estate grown and select local vineyard fruits.

Karma Vista Vineyards

A winery and tasting room in the middle of the vineyar d on top of one of the highest hills in Berrien County. Featuring such hits as Starry Starry White, Pink Side of the Moon, Moondance Merlot and Cha Cha Chardonnay. Wine with a unique point of view.

Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail

Visit 12 wineries and tasting rooms along beautiful Lake Michigan as you tour the Southwest Michigan Wine Trail. Taste, tour and enjoy the vast selection of wine from Michigan's Great Southwest. Our beautiful, relaxing and unique tasting rooms offer you the opportunity to sample and learn about the products Michigan has to offer.

Lehmans Orchard

The fruit is sustainably grown using many intergrated management and organic growing techniques. We currently make eight fruit wines, two grape wines, one ice cider and six hard ciders. We sell frozen apple cider year round and fresh apple cider in the fall. All of the fruits used in the winemaking were estate grown.

Lemon Creek Fruit Farm & Winery

Lemon Creek is a name with over 150 years of grape and fruit growing experience. Exclusively family owned and operated this quaint 300-acre farm is located in the countryside of Berrien County. Found just 6 miles off the lake, this winery, vineyard and fruit farm is a perfect family destination.

St. Julian Winery

St. Julian is Michigan's oldest, largest and most awarded winery. This family-owned winery, founded by Mariano Meconi in 1921, is nestled in the picturesque fruit-growing region along the southwern shore of Lake Michigan. Today, grandson, David Braganini, has adopted the family tradition of wine making while turning St. Julian into Michigan's most renowned winery.

White Pine Winery

We offer warm hospitality in our historic tasting room in downtown St. Joseph, Michigan. We specialize in classic Rieslings, Pinot Grigio, Merlot and Serendipity - our "meritage" style blend. All of our wines are produced from both estate-grown and locally grown grapes by our winemaker, Dr. Dave Miller, who has over 30 years of experience with Michigan wines. Our trained staff will heighten your tasting experience, explaining how truly unique and special Michigan wines are.
