Stover's Farm Market & U-Pic, a family-fun farm, has been producing fresh fruit since 1927. The U-Pic started over 35 years ago to give customers the advantage of picking farm fresh produce and experience country fun.
Our u-pic season begins with strawberries in late May/early June and runs through October with 23 varieties of apples in our u-pic orchard (all dates are tentative due to the weather, please call ahead for availability). In the middle of strawberry season, five different varieties of sweet cherries are available for picking. Red and black raspberries are ready to pick around the end of June, followed by the tart cherry season, usually beginning the 4th of July. We can pit the pie cherries for you. We offer nine varieties of peaches, including everyone's favorite, Red Haven, beginning mid-July. Then August marks the beginning of the apple season with Honeycrisp apples, considered the best all around apple by many, available in mid-September. We close the picking season with pumpkins, Indian corn, gourds and squash starting in October.
Come enjoy our 165-year-old Michigan Bank Barn. The original structure was built with wooden pegs, not any nails! Right here in the heart of Michigan Fruit Country...See you on the farm where the fresh air is free!
At Stover's Big Red Barn we offer pick your own or shop in our market for farm fresh fruits along with other farm related gifts, products and activities with items such as those listed in our amenities list.
