Swiss Valley Ski Area: Michigan's closest ski area to Chicago and Indiana. Facilities: 11 ski runs, two quad chairs, one triple chair, four surface tows on separate beginner's area, night skiing every night on all slopes, terrain park, 100% snow-making coverage, 2000-unit rental equipment department, day lodge with cafeteria, Chalet dining & cocktail lounge, full line Ski & Board shop with service center, demo and high performance equipment sales and rental. PSIA ski school, snowboarding - rental and lessons, children's programs, race programs, group discounts, nearby lodging with ski packages.

For more than a quarter century, skiers have been enjoying an exciting variety of slopes at Timber Ridge. Children, ages 5-12, will have fun with the Polar Cub program, a ski school for children featuring a lift ticket, 3+ hour lesson, lunch and hot chocolate break. Adults, on the other hand, will appreciate Timber Ridge's ATM Certified Ski School offering all levels of instruction, including ski racing techniques; a rental shop with 1,000 sets of equipment; night skiing; snowboarding; special activities and events; and the resort's two lounges, bar and cafeteria. Group rates available.
Directions:
Take US-131 north of Kalamazoo to D Avenue, then west 6-1/2 miles or
I-94 west to M-40 Gobles, then east.
